Frequently Asked Question
How to throttle down download speed on my browser?
Last Updated 10 months ago
When downloading eBooks, for Witherby Connect, the browser will use the available bandwidth. This is just normal behaviour as it is normally the responsibility of the network gateway/router to prioritise bandwidth (Quality Of Service feature).
However, it is possible to manually throttle the bandwidth used by a browser when downloading: just press Ctrl-Shift-i while using the browser, select the Network menu then throttle as 2G (~250 kbps), 3G (~750 kbps) or your own profile.
Don't forget to disable that feature to "no throttling" when done.
